Chery, Haier Team up to Build Online Platform for Auto Industry

    Chery Holding Group Co., an automaker based in East China’s Anhui province, signed on April 10 a framework agreement with Chinese home appliance giant Haier Group on cooperation in building a globally leading internet platform for the automobile industry.

    Under the agreement, both sides will work together to build the industrial internet platform based on Haier’s success in its industrial online platform COSMOPlat and Chery’s yeas of experience in the industry.

    They will conduct in-depth cooperation in digital transformation consulting and construction and renovation of digital factories, in a bid to raise overall efficiency and empower the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.

    Chery will also team up with Haier to establish a lighthouse network and develop it into a global leader.

    In addition, Haier will help Chery to set up a smart industrial zone by using technologies such as Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence.

    Meanwhile, the two parties will cooperate in other areas like digital supply chain and digital procurement, smart service for recreational vehicles, and application of new materials.
